this morning, I'm going to share with you my favorite cookie in the universe, the Alfajores (Al-pha-hoy-res). this is originated from Argentina. the traditional cookie. I first saw this cookie in the 'Unique eats' at foodnetwork cooking channel. I remembered the host said "it melts in the back of your tongue". It's so true melting experience. Maybe I got the wrong show, whatever. it's not important.

as you can see, the chocolate caramel coating is actually the famous Dulce de Leche. That's why sometimes this cookie is called dulce de leche. traditionally, Alfajores are like this:
they form it in sandwich shape. but people has modified it's look into more vibrant and attractive. the Dulce de leche is a milk caramel sauce. it's is quite hard to make, not because of the ingredient, but the time length. no bet it's delicious thought. there are lots of methods to make Dulce de Leche. either you want to make it in traditional way (using boiled mathod), or you can use microwave, or the crock pot. Depend on you.
